Homer is the father of the Simpson family. He may not be the best one, and he may not perform all the duties or pass all the requirements needed to even be one. But indeed he does stick by and obey his wife, Marge, a lot of times.

Homer is extremely out-going. If he wants or feels that he really needs to achieve something, he will just go out the door and do it. This also is the cause of most of Homer's adventures. The relieving part of this is although he's out-going, his family is always there to knock some sense into him.

Of course, Homer is a little overweight, and he is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, in addition to being an alcholic, but he has gone where no man of his kind has ever gone before like space, boxing tornament, college, nuthouse. Naturally many take advantage of this, and somehow cripple Homer. But, not even donuts could stand in Homer's way.
